The Ask
The creators of Phineas and Ferb are back in action with a new super-powered animated series, Hamster & Gretel, and Disney Channel called on Creative Mammals to create a bold motion graphics promo package that would reflect the epic and unexpected themes of the show.
The Challenge
Our first objective was to find a way to incorporate the superhero look into our designs while striking a balance between fun and elevated. Putting together the right color palette was another crucial element in shaping the personality of the look, which also needed to complement the colors used throughout the show.
The Result
Using an array of vibrant teals with graphic 2D geometry, we created a cool, sophisticated look that packs a punch of contrast with the show’s logo and characters. Another playful element we incorporated into the graphics package and accompanying After Effects toolkit is the characters’ interactions with the logo and typography throughout. While the animations feel consistent with the show’s themes and overall look, they also work as unique pieces that stand out from superhero stereotypes.
