Restaurant Rivals

Hosts Robert Irvine and Jon Taffer face off to build the best restaurant experience in the hottest new competition show, Restaurant Rivals: Irvine vs. Taffer, streaming now on discovery+. Our Creative Mammals team was tapped to create an epic motion graphics show package that would embody the spirit of competition between the rival teams. 

We knew the motion graphics for this show should feel exciting and action-packed, but we needed to decide how that would translate into the design and whether it would lean more sports or action.

Once we established the overall look for the show package, our next challenge was tailoring the animated toolkit elements to be as user-friendly and multi-purpose as possible. This process involved creating custom expressions and anticipating future use cases to create a versatile and bulletproof graphics toolkit.

With big-name personalities and even bigger stakes, this motion graphics show package brings the heat with sports-inspired, dueling designs. A black and white color palette with a pop of bright red adds fuel to the excitement and energy of the show, while layers of slanted shapes shift around and bring our two competitors together for an action-packed showdown.
